State Legislative Issues

The Board of County Commissioners (Board) recognizes that decisions made at the state level
have direct impact on the residents of Boulder County. The Board actively
represents the interests of Boulder County residents in several ways:
- The Board meets with state legislators to discuss important legislation,
and submits letters stating Boulder County's position.
- The Commissioners participate in regional organizations that make policy
recommendations to state legislators and lobby for various services and
policies.
- The Office of the Board of County Commissioners has staff that
attends legislative sessions, issues legislative reports, keeps the Board updated on current issues and
happenings, and lobbies state legislature on behalf of the Board and the
residents of Boulder County.
