Alternative Modes: Transit

Boulder County is an active supporter of multiple transit services and helps facilitate planning, marketing and awareness programs throughout the County.

Transit Services

Current County-sponsored services include the BOLT, JUMP, and the  DASH transit routes. New services include the  Jump to Erie - a new service with direct service between Boulder and Erie and the LYNX which provides a new transit connection between downtown Louisville and the US36 Corridor.

Transit Assistance

Starting in 2008, Boulder County is offering subsidies to businesses who offer annual transit passes to their employees.  Neighborhoods in the county are eligible too!  The Countywide Transit Pass Support program is a two-year pilot to get more people on the bus.

Transit Planning

While the County actively supports and funds some existing transit services, our main role is planning for future service. Our most recent efforts have been to support the Consortium of Cities Regional Transit Committee’s efforts to develop the Boulder and Broomfield Counties Transit Enhancement Plan (2006).

Partnerships

The transit services provided by Boulder County are in partnership with transit service providers, other cities and towns within the County and with regional and state organizations dedicated to supporting transit services.
