Special Use Permit Application

Permits are required for activities with 25 or more people, activities that occur outside open hours, or activities that do not fall under the generally accepted definition of passive use. Use the Guide Me feature to see if you need a permit.

Proof of insurance may be required including auto and general liability insurance with Boulder County named as "additional insured." If required, it must be submitted 30 days prior to your activity. We will let you know if proof of insurance is required.

Rules & Regulations

Special Use permit holders are still required to follow all other Rules and Regulations while on open space. *

Sometimes permits are approved with additional conditions. You will be notified if additional conditions are required for approval of your permit. *

Additional Licenses or Permits

It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain all additional licenses or permits that may be required by statute or regulation affected by this proposed activity including, but not limited to, Special Events Permits from the Transportation Department, Restaurant & Vendor Licenses from Public Health, and UAS/Drone Permits from Parks & Open Space. *
